I am the CEO for Northfield Community Partnership and , and have worked here for 7 years .
I was born in Rubery , and have lived an worked in South Birmingham for most of my life.
My original training was in children and young people . Working to support children and families. I have had positions within Hammersmith and Fulham Council, Bournville Village Trust, Redditch Borough Council and in my previous role I was the Community Development Manager for a successful charity in Redditch.
Since starting at NCP I am very proud to have contributed to the development of the organisation and have been part of the journey which has seen us change from a Town Centre Partnership to a thriving charity.
We now work with over 10,000 people per year to help some of the most vulnerable people in the communities we work in.
My role is very varied from meeting MPS and attending stakeholders meetings to dressing up in silly costumes to get us noticed for potential funding opportunities.
One of my highlights of working at NCP has to be Northfield Beach which I started as we realised people did not always have the means to go on holiday. This has turned in to a thriving 5 day festival with music, art, theatre and street performances.
