"I came to volunteer at NCP through joining the walking football sessions that NCP instigated in Northfield.
Speaking to the NCP volunteer coordinator, I mentioned that whilst I was looking for work I would like to return to volunteering. I was then able to join NCP as a computer mentor in 2017.
Since then I have been involved in various activities such as assisting clients with job searches, IT training and assisting with the food bank. With a background in volunteer recruitment I have also been able to assist in the administration and development of the volunteer policies and procedures.
I enjoy volunteering at NCP as the staff and volunteers are all very helpful and welcoming and it is very satisfying to be able to see clients develop their IT skills and help them in their search for employment. It has also helped me in my personal job search by improving my own CV and securing a part time position."
