Maria's Success Story - Moving More, Feeling Stronger

When Maria joined the Game of Stones programme, she already had a good understanding of healthy eating and was making thoughtful food choices. She didn't need to completely change her diet, instead, she focused on building on the healthy habits she already had.

The biggest change Maria made was increasing her physical activity. Rather than making drastic changes, she committed to staying active throughout the week with a routine she genuinely enjoys. She attends a Forever Fit exercise class, swims several times a week, takes part in Aqua Fit sessions, and regularly joins a Fit for Life strength class. Even at weekends, she keeps moving through gardening and walking.

Alongside her active lifestyle, Maria continues to make balanced food choices. She enjoys nutritious breakfasts such as yogurt with chia seeds, omelettes, or scrambled eggs with salad, and chooses wholesome meals with lean protein and plenty of vegetables. She is mindful of snacking, recognising that eating regular, balanced meals helps her manage cravings.

Her dedication has paid off. Maria has reduced her weight from 88 kg to 76.25 kg, losing an impressive 11.75 kg, which represents a 13.35% weight loss.

Maria's journey is a great reminder that success doesn't always come from completely changing what you eat. Sometimes, the biggest difference comes from becoming more active, staying consistent, and building on the healthy habits you already have.
